What We Do

Our Services

A quick look at the deck work we handle most, from brand new builds to fixing what's already there.

Deck Installation

New decks built from the footings up, sized and framed for the load you actually plan to put on them.

Deck Repair

Soft boards, wobbly rails and sinking posts fixed without tearing out the whole structure.

Deck Staining & Sealing

A fresh coat of stain and sealer to stop the sun and rain from taking the wood apart.

Custom Deck Design

Multi-level decks, built-in seating and pergolas laid out to fit your yard, not a catalog plan.

Composite Decking Installation

Trex and TimberTech boards installed with hidden fasteners for a deck you won't have to stain again.

Deck Railing Installation & Repair

Cable, aluminum or wood railing set to code baluster spacing, replaced or repaired board by board.

Who We Are

Who's Doing the Work

We build and repair decks for homeowners across Fort Lauderdale who want somewhere to actually sit outside without worrying about it. Maybe your old deck has a soft spot near the stairs, or the boards have gone gray and splintery from a few summers of sun. Maybe you don't have a deck yet and you're tired of a yard that's just grass and a sliding door. Either way, you're trying to figure out who to trust with lumber, footings and a check for a few thousand dollars.

We build our framing with joist hangers and hot-dipped galvanized fasteners, not the coated screws that start rusting the first humid season. Every ledger board gets flashed properly where it meets the house, because that's where most of the rot problems we get called out to repair actually started. If you want composite decking we'll walk you through Trex and TimberTech boards side by side with pressure-treated pine, so you know what you're paying for. We pull the permit ourselves for anything that needs one, so inspections aren't your problem.

Why Choose Us

Why people keep calling us back

Most of our work comes from someone telling a neighbor about us. Here is why that keeps happening.

Licensed and Insured

We carry the license and insurance a deck permit in Broward County requires.

Permits Handled

We pull the permit and schedule the inspections so you don't have to.

Clean Job Sites

Sawdust and old decking get hauled off, not left in a pile by the fence.

Written Quotes

You get a written price before we touch a board, broken down by material.

Our Own Crew

The crew that frames your deck is the same crew that finishes it.

Built for the Coast

We use fasteners and hardware rated for salt air, not standard hardware store screws.

Had a soft spot near the stairs on our place in Fort Lauderdale for two years before I called. Turned out one joist was rotted clean through, glad they caught it before someone fell.

Deck Repair · Miami, FL
Switched to composite after staining our old pine deck every summer for years. Had to reschedule once because of rain but they called ahead, no big deal.

Composite Decking Installation · Hialeah, FL
Redid the deck around our pool out in Davie, drains way better now after a storm. Boards feel solid, no more puddling by the steps.

Common Questions

Questions we get a lot

Questions homeowners usually ask before booking a deck project.

Do you charge for estimates on a new deck?
Estimates for deck installation and repair in Fort Lauderdale are free and don't require a deposit. A crew member measures the space, checks the ground or existing structure, and gives a written price before any work is scheduled.
Are you licensed and insured to build a deck?
Deck construction requires a state contractor's license in Florida, along with general liability and workers' comp insurance. Certificates are available on request before a job starts.
How soon can you start on a deck project?
Scheduling depends on the season and whether the deck needs a permit, which typically takes one to three weeks to process in Broward County. Smaller repair jobs without permit requirements can often start within a week or two.
What areas do you build decks in?
Deck installation and repair is available throughout Fort Lauderdale and surrounding cities including Pompano Beach, Davie, Hollywood, Plantation and Coral Springs. Travel further out is possible, just ask when getting a quote.
Do you build decks for condos or just single-family homes?
Most deck work is for single-family homes, but ground-level decks and pool decks at townhomes and low-rise condos are common too. HOA approval is sometimes required before permits can be pulled, which is worth checking early.
Will you take on a small job like fixing a few boards?
Board replacement, loose railing repair and re-staining a small deck are all reasonable jobs to call about. Not every deck problem needs a full rebuild.
How do I get started on a deck project?
A call or message describing the size of the deck and what's wrong with it, if it's a repair, is the first step. A visit gets scheduled to measure and check the existing structure, then a written quote follows.
What does a new deck typically cost?
Pressure-treated wood decks generally run less per square foot than composite decking, with the difference showing up over time in staining and upkeep. Cost also moves with deck height, railing style, stairs and how many footings the ground requires.
Do you require a deposit before starting a deck build?
A deposit is standard for deck installation to cover material costs, with the balance due on completion. Smaller repair jobs sometimes don't require a deposit at all.
What happens if it rains during my deck project?
Framing and structural work can often continue through light rain, but staining, sealing and pouring footings get rescheduled since both need dry conditions to cure or set properly. Florida's afternoon storm pattern gets factored into scheduling from the start.
